There is a lot of talk going around that it was wrong that they were arrested because of the fact that this has been a method for getting a lot of new artists discovered. So the question is, Should DJ Drama and DJ Cannon be arrested for doing what so many others DJs have done in the past and sell their own material?

Overrated and Overpayed

Here are 10 NBA players who aren’t worth their press clippings and 10 others who deserve recognition for their on-court skills
Overrated
Patrick Ewing, Knicks. His prediction of an NBA title has become as much an annual tradition in New York as the New Year’s Eve party in Times Square. And speaking of dropping the ball, that’s just what Ewing did at crunch time in Game 7 of the 1994 Finals against Houston. After scoring four points at the start of the fourth quarter, the usually shot-happy center didn’t even shoot again until he missed two jumpers in the final three minutes.

Word Processing Do’s & Don’t’s
Using a word processing program like Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, or Microsoft Works may seem fairly easy and intuitive, but in reality, it is not. Most people who grew up with typewriters, try to use a word processor program just like a typewriter, which is not how this software was meant to be used. Even those who have never used a typewriter tend to overlook many of the valuable features of a word processor program.
The true value of a word processing program is in its flexibility. With a typewriter, if you made a change to the first page of a long document, you had to retype the entire document. With a word processor, if you make a change to the first page of a document, all the other pages will adjust to that change automatically. That is, the adjustments will be made if you have created the document properly. Here are a few tips: Read the rest of this post »
Gillie Da Kid vs Lil Wayne: GOT BEEF?
Posted December 9, 2006 by Kwobie TeamCategories: By Quentin, Entertainment
After taking three calls about it, Gillie Da Kid could no longer ignore the rumors. He picked up Lil Wayne’s new mixtape Like Father Like Son and gave “Problem Solver” a spin.
“Gillie man I don’t think you niggas should really fuck with me … ” So it was true: Lil Wayne—Gillie’s longtime friend and labelmate—had dissed him. Gillie couldn’t figure out why.
After having his album shelved while the label argued over publishing, Gillie left the Cash Money family, but maintained a good friendship with Wayne, the label’s youngest artist. Wayne flew out to Philly to attend parties with Gillie, and appear on his mixtapes and DVDs, including the soon-to-be- released Marijuana High. Read the rest of this post »
Michael Vick: Hype or Hack?
Posted December 9, 2006 by Kwobie TeamCategories: By Malik, Sports
Certainly, Michael Vick isn’t the only player in the National Football League with an inflated view of his worth. The NFL is, in a lot of ways, an ego-driven league. Having confidence is a good thing. But sometimes, that confidence spirals out of control and it begins to border on absurdity. Observe Michael Vick:
“Tom Brady, Peyton [Manning], Donovan [McNabb]… they all throw from the pocket, make the right decisions, do the right things. I’m up there with Peyton and Brady and Donovan. I think I’m there with that group [as a passer]. But I don’t feel I get the credit I deserve as far as what I do and the impact I have on my team.”
I’ll grant him that he might not get the credit that he deserves for the impact he has on his team. I’m not saying he’s right, but there’s at least an argument to be made. It’s hard to quantify the value of his running ability vs. the relative lack of value of his passing ability.

The Island of Shehkah in the Land of the Golden Sun, Elona … An ancient and forgotten darkness is on the rise and the time of the five gods is at an end … All that stands between what was and eternal darkness is the Order of the Sunspears.
Guild Wars is into its third expansion and like the previous one, Factions, Guild Wars: Nightfall brings new classes, new abilities, new dangers, new quests, new lore and new lands to explore.
The game introduces the classes of the Dervish and Paragon. The dervish is a whirlwind of scythe-oriented destruction, unleashing AoEs (area of effect spells), with some enchantments that will prove a boon to not only the dervish but his or her party. But when it comes to party-oriented skills, the paragon is the boss. Basically a ranged attacker, the paragon also has shouts that inspire party members to greater heights.

BET vs MTV: Who Represents Hip-Hop Better?
Posted December 9, 2006 by Kwobie TeamCategories: By Quentin, Entertainment
MTV stands for Music Television and BET stands for Black Entertainment Television. With that said I want to say I watch a great deal of television in general, personally that is where a lot of my inspiration for my articles comes from. So the other day I’m watching a show in MTV called “Fight Klub”. Fight Flub is a television show about rap battles taken place in the streets of NY, NJ or wherever they seem to have them that day and I thought to myself this is something that should be on BET not MTV right? Then I thought some more and came up with the conclusion that MTV represents hip-hop and rap culture more than BET does.
The reason for that may be because MTV is music based network that represents all genres of music, rap, r & b, rock, punk, alternative etc. and BET is black entertainment as a whole Read the rest of this post »

Whether you are a college student starting a new career or a professional thinking about a job or career change, you should consider a networking technique that frequently results in high-quality contacts and referrals — informational interviewing.

* Do use the networking process to identify people with whom to conduct informational interviews. Anyone in your network can be either the subject of an informational interview or can suggest others to interview. The ideal subject of an informational interview is someone who is in a job you’d like to have. Read the rest of this post »
